Sunday Road Closures The following roads in and out of Wolverhampton will be affected for several hours on the day of the event. Park Road East and West, Albert Road (closed between 8:00am until race has finished using the road, approximately 3.30pm). Tettenhall Road up to Chapel Ash, Ring Road, Waterloo Road, Newhampton Road East to Hunter Street (closed or severely restricted between the hours of 8.30am to about 10:15am or until last runners are clear). Hordern Road from Court Road to Aldersley Road traffic lights, will be made ONE WAY in the direction of the race (8.45am until about 10:30am or until last runner has passed first lap). Aldersley Road from junction with Hordern Road traffic lights up to Oxley Moor Road (closed from 8.45am until last runner has cleared the road – approx. 10:30). Oxley Moor Road from Green Lane to Blaydon Road (closed from 8.45am until last full marathon runners have cleared Oxley Moor Bridge about 1:15pm). Lower Street will be made ONE WAY from Aldersley Road to The Rock in the direction of the race (closed from 8:30am until last full marathon runners have cleared the lights about 2:30pm). Please be advised that the roads will be re-opened as soon as possible after the participants have cleared.
