::::::: Sunday Sermon with Apostle Charles ::::::: STAND ON THE WORD Today we live in what has been called the instant generation. Patience as a virtue is hard to find.In the days of Abraham, 100 km was a 3 days journey, now we can do it in one hour but you still find impatient people who want to drive and get there in less than 30 minutes. Exo 33:14-15 A short circuited miracle will cost, wait patiently on The Lord. What are you ready to pay for those things you require? Make sure its not your salvation. Isaiah 40:31 Wait (recharge) brings renewal of strength. To Wait Is to tarry: You wait in prayer. You wait in fasting. You wait as you declare and confess his word. Situations will come but wait on The Lord. Hebrews 6:12 Abraham waited until he was 100 to receive Isaac. A full term pregnancy is 9 months, anything before is premature. Any good thing must go through a process. Sarah held that baby but the cost of her impatience still haunts the world today (Moslems vs Jews)... Ishmael. A good cake must have all the ingredients and be baked for a period. God is looking for those who will inherit the promises through faith and patience. Dont let the devil short circuit your blessing through impatience. Whatever you desire, wait on God, stand on his word. You must say today, I dont mind waiting. There are no alternatives, If God says yes, thank him, if he says no thank him because he has the best plan for you. If he says wait, praise him as you wait, he knows the perfect time! NAAMAN, wasnt patient, he could have been the next big prophet but he missed that, instead he got leprosy. 2 Kings 5:26-27, Job 14:14 If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. Job waited in the midst of great adversity and witnessed Gods deliverance. His later end was double the blessing. In the background the devil was trying to engineer his fall, but he stood on the word. The Psalmist time and again tells us of his waiting on God Psalms 27:14, Habakkuk 2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. There is a set time, an appointed time WHICH DEMANDS YOU to wait patiently. Inability to wait breeds your own METHODS which result in you losing perspective of the ultimate price. Job says though he afflicts me yet will I trust Him. In business, dont abandon that project before its time. Give it the time and energy, you will sure reap the reward. THE RESULTS OF WAITING: 1. Mounting up with wings as eagles. new methods to bring about your progress. New ideas that will revolutionize your way of doing things. New LEVELS which the world will notice. You will not play at a low level anymore. You will become an expert in that business. You become an expert in the field you waited in. Malcolm Gladwell in his book the Outliers talks of the 10,000 hour rule. He says it takes 10,000 hours (10 years) to become an expert at something. I declare somebody is going to new heights today. 2. Running and not grow weary. Effortless results. As an expert you have new ideas resulting in progress. Toil is now broken because you took time to wait and master it. 3. Walk and not faint. Your day to day endeavors full of results. Walking without growing tired! Tiredness kills momentum. Jesus our example was PATIENT, ENDURING THE CROSS. He waited on God. You do the same. Dont rush things, unobika mbodza!
