Sunday night sermon - Pastor Jourdan Text - Galatians 6:15-18 Title - Do I bear the marks? Paul wrote to the church of the Galatians - from hence forth, let no man trouble me Paul was saying please dont hurt me any more! Please dont persecute me further! For I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus Pauls physical body bore the mark of persecution for preaching the Gospel of Christ! Today, in Iraq, there are those who must carry the marks of persecution simply for claiming to be Christian. People who have been beheaded and tortured for the sake of Christianity! What marks do we in America carry for Christ? So far we havent been persecuted for His name sake! We dont have to worry about those who would take our children and cut their head off before our face! So what marks would we carry? When God looks down he wants be able to recognize his children! He wants a people who will carry His name JESUS. People who will bear His Holiness! People with His righteousness! A people with a obvious distinction between male and female! A faithful and committed people! But first and foremost, a people who keep the first and second commandments! 1) LOVE THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, SOUL AND MIND! 2) LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF! Who is willing to bear the mark?
