Sunday severe weather/tornado outbreak update: A low level jet looks to be in place at over 70kt winds in the mid levels (a few thousand feet above ground). Meaning winds will be gusting at over 40mph through out the day outsid eof any thunderstorms. Deep layer shear will be strong CAPE values will be very high meaning rapid storm development will take place. At this time Supercell thunderstorms arelikely to develop and pose a risk for tornadoes especially in the early stages of thunderstorm development. Eventually, these storms will form into a strong to severe squall line, picking up speed and moving through the area late in the evening possibly into the overnight hours into early Monday morning. Stay tuned for further updates as I fully expect the SPC to issue a Slight risk with an enhanced area soon probably after the 00Z update (after 11pm eastern).
