Sundays Message Mens Sunday school lesson taught by Deacon T.M. Was outstanding. We talked about Job whining his way through his trials while simultaneously his wife and friends are trying to turn him away from the same God they believe in. Our conversation led us into our travels growing in Christ through Christian organizations that are more religion than faith. We concluded that religion is a man made direction and faith comes from living in the Holy Word. For example some denominations wont allow you to catch the Holy Ghost or shout or dance or women wear pants or jewelry or make-up. I ask you “If you focus on issues like these in church is it your faith or a religious practice?” My Pastor say it all the time “I dont want you to get that close to me that you dont see Christ”. Our review of the Mens Sunday school lesson was simply “Be careful who you rolling with”. Do they have faith or religion? I only had 15 hours to learn two songs. I started singing the chorus at the same time the lead started her part. I didnt know the words and I believe in the 5 Ps“Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance” I was not prepared properly which made me even more nervous, but I was the only man, so I had to represent. I messed up so much I just gave the microphone to one of the ladies so nobody could actually hear me. The second song the Pastor stepped in to assist which relaxed me a little too much. By the time we finished the song Id forgot I was not prepared because this beautiful melodic sound ushered in the Holy Ghost and the spirit had took over me and all I could do was wipe the tears from my face and say great job Praise team. The sermon message was delivered by Evangelist E.W. There are only two women whom Ive heard that can deliver a message in a manner that I could feed off of for hours. One is Joyce Meyers. The other is E.W. There is humor, sincerity, conviction, examples and most of all a powerful message. Her topic was “Dont homestead your troubles”. Her scriptures (Or bless her heart like our M.C. say “her striptures”) comes from Jeremiah 1:19 They shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail for I Am with thee saith the Lord. Romans 8:11 If the spirit of Him that raised Jesus is in you He will also give life to your mortal bodies. John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, not as the world gives. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation: but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. All yawl really should hear this lady speak. Before the message I had some issues about my finances. After church when I got home I was singing my version of that old James Brown song “Say it loud. Im poor and proud”. Sounds crazy right, Well thats the power of the message. With faith in Christ my sight is no longer on how much I dont have or need, but on how good He is to me. I may not have any money, car, jewelry or friends, but I do have peace, food, shelter, clothes and dreams and His Love. Speaking of which my dreams have always kept me out of my current situation. See I remember living in abandoned buildings as a child. I always had in my head that one day I would be able to make a difference not just for myself, but for all the people suffering under conditions of this world. If only there was a way to minister to all people the message E.W. Delivered yesterday at New Beginnings Christian Ministries. Then everybody will be able to recognize the power Christ gives us over the evil one. Never let anything steal your joy. If you do then you dont know Christ as well as you think you do cause what ever it is He Can Handle it for you. Minister 2 L G. 10-27-14
