Sunsmart items getting tried and tested! Emma has been using the following items while performing daily chores with the horses, including feeding out, mucking paddocks, grooming and otherwise - so whats the goss!? Sunglasses - gidgee-eyes UPF 50+ balaclava - ebay IceRay Armsleeves - icerays.au What Emma has to say: These items are all definitely now permanent accessories in my horsie wardrobe - the days when I chicken out on covering up my nose flares up horribly where my skin cancer was removed and I know that I have been to lax in covering up. When I dont chicken out and I do cover up, my skin definitely thanks me! The glasses - wow - can not recommend these highly enough - they are so good on that I start looking for them to put them on, to then realise I am already wearing them and have forgotten! Heaps tough as well - I wash horses, work horses, trim horses hooves, feed out, slash riding tracks, fence and otherwise - they do not budge! These are definitely my new best friend - I wear them all the time. The mask - this one is taking a bit to get used to wearing - I get some very very strange looks! Most days I go screw the world my health is more important then what you think and say ... some days it is to exhausting and I leave the mask off. On hot days I can not cope with the mask over my nose, and I find my sunnies fog up from my breath, but on cooler days it is no problems to wear as a full cover up! I will be saving up and trying out a mowave next as while this mask is absolutely awesome for around the paddock I think the mesh in the mowave for breathing will make it a nicer accessory whilst riding. The Iceray armsleeves - another wow product! These guys are like wearing aircon on your arms! I was so worried about feeling hot covering up so much, but it is actually cooler when you wear the correct gear! I find the sleeves uncomfortable when I first put on as I am not used to things around the top of my arms - but then I completely forget they are on. The do not fall done, they do not move, they are not to tight - definitely an accessory all riders should be using every time they walk outside during summer :-) My biggest issue? I need mutliple items of each as I keep putting them places and forgetting where ... ie today I am just about to head to the paddock and I can not for the life of me find my armsleeves ... bugging me a bit as today is so hot but if I do not find them soon I will need to head out without them ... definitely need to stock up on multiple items of each!
