Super Bowl 2015: Updated Spread, Odds, Moneylines for Patriots vs. Seahawks: Super Bowl XLIX is less than a week away, and unfortunately, not enough time has been spent talking about the game itself. Two weeks is a long time to discuss deflated footballs, but it looks like thats going to be the major topic of conversation as we get set to determine the champions from this past season. Call me crazy, but it seems time to interject some conversation about some things that are a little more exciting: betting lines, the spread and odds. The latest information from Odds Shark tells us the following: What might be the factors in determining the winner of the game? Here are a couple of things to ponder. How Much Will Experience Matter? With such a close game being expected by oddsmakers, its somewhat difficult to pinpoint an edge for either team. Experience is one area of interest. While Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and head coach Pete Carroll led their team to a Super Bowl victory last year, the Patriots future Hall of Famer Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick have been in five Super Bowls and won three in their illustrious careers. Will that matter much on Sunday? Its hard to believe that a team with the same nucleus from last seasons title-winning club would be lacking in the area of poise. Wilson is such a strong leader. He seems capable of righting the ship even if things dont go well early on. The Seahawks official Twitter account captured this quote from wide receiver Jermaine Kearse about his quarterbacks leadership during their come-from-behind win in the NFC title game. So long as Wilson is under center, theres no reason to believe the champions will be rattled. Distractions If the Patriots lose the Super Bowl, everyone should be prepared to hear about how much distractions potentially played a role in their demise. Deflategate has dominated the pregame hype and storylines, and it wouldnt be crazy to think it has taken away from New Englands focus. In actuality, both the Seahawks and Patriots should be insulted that more of the talk hasnt been about each teams respective accomplishments, the path to the biggest game of the year and other more football-friendly topics. Instead, the Seahawks have been all but ignored outside of their own city, which could actually wind up benefiting them in the long run. While New England has been peppered with questions about deflated footballs, Seattle has seemingly been able to go about their process in a more normal way. In a game that could be so close, little things like that could be the difference. Read more NFL news on BleacherReport #Football #NFL #Opinion #2015SuperBowl
