Super Soul Sunday: Tracy Chaffin shared a testimony today about how when his families home caught on fire the Family Bible came through pretty much unscathed. Just about everything else was destroyed. Several years later he was traveling home, he happened upon a house trailer on fire. The lady was so upset because her important documents was in her Family Bible. Tracy told her if the papers were in the bible they will be ok. A firefighter overheard and assured her that he was right. Another firefighter said he always comes out with the Bible. Sure enough her papers were saved along with the Family Bible. Do you know the reason the Bible survives such catastrophes? Because it is the living Word of God. It has survived the test of time even though it is much hated in parts of the world, taken out of our schools, and out of a lot of homes. John 1:1 states: In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Further in the chapter in the 14th verse it states: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. The Word is Jesus Christ. People try so hard to complicate it yet with a willing heart even a child can understand. Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so. Little ones to him belong they are weak but he is strong.
