Super heartwarming news from Helping Hands efforts!!! Mr. Chiba, a local volunteer in tsunami hit Ishinomaki city (also a tsunami victim) who has been distributing our donations to temporary homes and suffering families every month in the past 3 years, made a story on the local news. (link of article and English translation are attached to the picture of newspaper). After the newspaper is issued, he got a call from newspaper company that a lady (in her 60s) wants to contact him. Mr. Chiba found out that the lady was humble to know about all the contined, long support Helping Hands is doing, and that the support have been coming from various places around the world. She wanted to give back to contributors by donating all her handmade gifts!!! even she hasnt received our donations at all... she just became thankful to know that we are still helping. Her beautiful gifts full of appreciation were forwarded by my parents in Japan, and going to be distributed to upcoming contributors. The lady, Mrs. Hamaya, lives in Minamizakae dai-nana temporary housing, a pretty big temporary housing community according to Mr. Chiba. Im gonna call her to thank her now... ♡
