Superhero Films - Chap. 22: The Return of Captain Invincible During WWII the great Captain Invincible (Alan Arkin) lends assistance with his superheroic abilities in helping to stop the Nazis and becomes a symbol of hope, honor and freedom across the globe. But in 1950s the good Captain is accused of being a red, retires from his superhero job and goes into hiding. Now in 1983 his arch nemesis Mr. Midnight (Christopher Lee) threatens the planet and the Captain is the only one who can stop him. Can the Captain emerge sober long enough to save us? Will he be able to figure out how to fly again? Can he salvage some of his long lost patriotism? Oh and did I mention its a musical?
