Support the events that support the trails – The Single Track Minds Kalamunda 50 set to donate over $5000 dollars to the Kalamunda Collective for trail development. It is just under two weeks to the pinnacle event of the Single Track Minds series – The Kalamunda 50. This year is set to be the best year yet as it takes in the newest and best of the Kalamunda trails and a fantastic new start/finish location at The Core Cider House – perfect for an after race cider and a wood fired pizza. Race organiser John Carney has always been a passionate trail advocate and since the race’s inception, has donated $10 from every entry to trail development in Kalamunda. In the race’s 3 year history this has seen over $10,000 donated to keeping the Kalamunda trail network some of the best riding in the State. The more entrants there are at this year’s Kalamunda 50 the more money that will go directly into trail development. “This year we would love to see 800 people enjoying the amazing trails of Kalamunda in the Kalamunda 50 and the fantastic new location at the Core Cider House. If we can get to 800 people, that’s $8000 directly to new trail development at the Kalamunda Circuit which will make many people very happy.” Guaranteeing at least 50% single track over the 50km of trail, this race is perfect for any lover of sweet flowing single track. The course is kept a tightly guarded secret to keep it interesting and honest but it always takes in the best trails throughout the Perth Hills. Join the Single Track Minds face book page to get hints and suggestions about the course over the next couple of weeks with elevation charts and sneak peak video of some of the new trails being used in the race. facebook/singletrackmindsWA
