Supported residents in Abbeypark today who are protesting at the introduction of water meters. Peaceful protests and well done to all involved. Many families just dont have another €300-€500 a year for water charges. We now pay PAYE, PRSI, USC, Pension Levy, Property Tax, Road Tax, Communication (TVLicence) Tax and now a water tax! What exactly are we paying income tax for? It is deeply unfair that the millionaire will pay the same as the low paid worker. But thats Fine Gael ideology for you..
