Supporting Prisoners and Acting for Radical Change (SPARC) has launched a monthly van service to Red Onion and Wallens Ridge State Prisons, located in far the Southwest corner of Virginia – over 6 hours from Richmond and even further from population centers on Virginias coast. SPARC offers friends and family of prisoners a low cost van service to make the long trip from Richmond. SPARC is charging people just enough to cover van rental & gas costs. However, those are not the only costs involved in the program. The ability to offer discounts to people who cant afford the trip, money for contingencies, being able to make the trip even when the van isnt full are all costs with which SPARC needs your help.
