My pick of the day is this awesome song I chose for todays theme....It is from the historical movie, Amrapali which is a masterpiece every which way....Kaviraj Shailendra wrote, Bina karan udaasi kyun...Achanak ghirke aati hai...Takha jaati hai kyun mujh ko, Badan kyun tod jaati hai.. Oh, how soulful..! They capture our senses and elevate them to a higher level....It is pictured on the most beautiful and talented actress to grace the Indian cinema, Vyjayantimala....Her role as the royal courtesan is befitting her divine looks...It seems the song has been written for her cos only she can emote the lyrics the way they should be....Her sublime grace and expression are matchless..!! ...Latas voice is so amazing, dripping with sensuality....Sunil Dutt looks handsome and suits his role...There are simply no words to praise SJ for their mastery over this genre of music...The sitar, flute and violin used for the interludes create an absolutely mind blowing melody.
