Sharda was discovered in Dubai by RK who recommended her to SJ who gave her her break in the blockbuster movie Suraj...! The song was a runaway super hit and fetched Sharda a nomination for Filmfare Award for Best Playback Singer along with Rafi sahab for Baharon phool barsau from the same movie....!! Sharda set a record by being nominated for four consecutive times in this category which was the envy and marvel of all..!! Just like the song, her career took off to dizzying heights...!!
