Sure do find it difficult being on the outside looking in with all of these world events taking place. I remember being active duty during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. We all felt as though what we were contributing was with just cause. I can honestly say that during these times I was at my proudest. Knowing that my fellow AIRMEN, both enlisted and commissioned were all there for the same mission. It is unsettling after 13 years and the reality that our President (I feel) was bit premature with pulling out our troops we already had in place. 7,000 lives later we find ourselves praying that the men and women will be adequate enough to stop ISIS. I pray that many friends that I have still in the Air Force be in Gods care and may he protect them all and bring them home safe. I certainly miss working with people that have the capability without even thinking to put service before self, excellence in all we do and integrity first. I am not perfect by ANY means....yet, I can honestly say that I may slip up but those core values always resurface! Just know my Air Force family/spouses.....I miss you all greatly and think about you even more during this time. I
