Surgery update: The initial swelling has decreased as the cast is now loose! (partial hard cast/parital soft cast that allowed for swelling) I can move my foot/ankle casuing pain, the cast moves slightly up and down and is scatching some of the incisions/stitches. The loose cast also causes pain when changing position, and especially during a muscle spasm. I called the surgeon and am told to go to the Fracture Clinic tomorrow morning to have the cast checked, changed/tensor tightened until next week when I go back for the fiberglass cast. Big news: Hopefully I will have a wheelchair by the end of the week depending on how long it takes for Manulife (100% rental coverage) to assess the surgeons written request and predetemination at Shoppers Home Health that I will be faxing tomorrow morning...Yee Haw..That is how I roll...LOL.
