Surprisingly the Hippocratic Oath does _not_ contain the phrase - TopicsExpress

Surprisingly the Hippocratic Oath does _not_ contain the phrase everyone thinks it does: First do no harm. The only phrase of the oath that is even relevant (surprisingly): Further, I will comport myself and use my knowledge in a godly manner. I know. One would expect a physicians/doctors oath to be a little more on par with ...well...not torturing people. I guess he could always argue he was comporting himself in a godly manner. Either way. I think a loss of license quite frankly in order. Not to mention the indictments for Human Rights violations. And to answer the question everyone always asks. Next door to you. That is where governments find these evil people. Nazi Germany had no problem finding them. And Im sure in America it is the same. I am rambling because I have no actual words. Seriously. I can not even imagine any scenario where someone could say, Ill pay you all these money to torture people, are you in? And I would say yes. Contrary to what some believe, not everyone has a price. Not everyone is corruptible. James E. Mitchell does. Your tax dollars at work.
