Survival of the Fittest Natural Nutrition Philosophy - TopicsExpress

Survival of the Fittest Natural Nutrition Philosophy Rational: Now that I’ve discussed the rational for eating healthy I will put forth my Philosophy on nutrition. I’ve spent many years researching the field of nutrition. I’ve literally read thousands books, magazines and articles about nutrition. I intently wanted to master the understanding of this field so I could apply it not only too my client’s lives but my own life. Although I learned a ton of useful information along the way I also ended up confused by the abundant amount of conflicting information on the topic. I didn’t know who or what to believe. One day I decided to take the approach of thoroughly educating myself and then follow my heart and go with my intuitions on the matter. I landed on a nutritional philosophy that included consuming raw organic natural foods in the way that nature’s example dictates. I also had the cognition that everybody is different and that includes their nutritional needs. Having said that, I believe each individual needs to take responsibility for their own health and intently listen to what their body tells them. My general rule: experiment and do what seems to work for you. You will know if it is working if you look healthy, feel healthy, and have a strong immune system. There is so much arguing back and forth between different camps over which eating regime is right or best. Each eating style seems to have vehement critics as well as people who have experienced dramatic results from eating that particular way. I have a hard time believing that anyone can claim to feel terrific and be eating all wrong. Me, I do not follow anyones plan in particular, but rather over time have developed my own tailor-made plan, incorporating those concepts which have appealed to me both intellectually and preferentially. Living life, studying the sciences, and researching health topics has birthed convictions in me that have fueled my past health changes and current conviction and objectives. The result: I feel better now than at any other time in my life that I can remember. However, I will continue to fine-tune my lifestyle for as long as I am living on this earth. I am not in favor of weighing, measuring, or counting anything for the average person (though if you choose to do those things, that is, of course, entirely up to you). My philosophy on nutrition can essentially be summed up in this phrase; “keep it real”. What we consume is vital to not only our survival but to our health and quality of life. Having said that the quality of the foods we consume make all the difference. Foods closest to their natural state are infinitely superior in quality with respect to the nutrition they provide. Whether ones belief is that human life was created by the big bang or a respective god our origin is directly connected to the earth below our feet. There can be no denying or mistaking that we are directly reliant upon the earth. Without this earth and the rest of the physical world, our bodies would not exist. Our health is ultimately dependent upon the health of the earth and the food it produces. Conventionally produced foods manifest an empty harvest that is highly toxic to nature including humans and animals alike. The energy of life, the same energy that drives the seasons and all of nature, has been transmitted through millions of generations to power the present generation. Originating with the beginning of time, this energy passes through all entities, including humans. As such, it is of the utmost importance that the vital information of Life Energy that we attain through the consumption of food be natural and pure. Our energy comes directly from what we eat. That food, just like us, is a living entity. Its energy comes from the sun and its nutrients come from the earth. All that we consume must be healthy in order for us to be truly healthy. Conventionally produced food is by no stretch of the imagination healthy; for humans or the earth. Just as we are all related to one and other, we are also related to the earth and the sun. Beginning with the process of photosynthesis, plants turn the energy of the sun into a form that animals can utilize. It is channeled up through the chain of life, or food web to us at the top. Natural nutrition is primarily about promoting health through eating a substrate balanced diet rich in natural whole foods that are primarily raw and organic. There is an endless amount of opinions on the subject of nutrition. At the end of the day which philosophy you buy into is your choice to make. Considering all the available evidence in conjunction with self experimentation I’ve chosen the path of natural nutrition.
