Susan Nurse, one of our first degree granting alumni returned to Mandl last week to share her story with our current students. Born in Trinidad, she came to America looking for a better future and never looked back. Ms. Nurse graduated with a degree in Medical Assisting, she goes on to say: “Mandl set the foundation and opened the door to obtain the many opportunities I am offered today. The teachers were great and showed they really cared about students. It really goes to show that it does not matter your background if you are determined, you can achieve anything.” She now works as a site coordinator at Laboratory Corporation of America “LabCorp.” Ms. Nurse feels privileged to share her story and give feedback. She was able to provide first hand, what employers are looking for in future Allied Health Professionals.
