Suspect sought in early morning W-B shooting Wilkes-Barre police are a seeking a suspect involved in an early morning shooting that sent a woman to the hospital, police said. Police said they responded to the 100 block of North Meade Street around 3:40 a.m. Monday for a report of a gunshot victim in a vehicle. The victim was transported to a local medical facility for what appeared to be non life-threatening injuries, police said. Police said the investigation is still active, but have so far have named Sherman Wilborne, of Parkview Circle, Wilkes-Barre, as a suspect. Police said aggravated assault charges and related offenses are pending against Wilborne. Anyone with information regarding Wilborne’s whereabouts is asked to either contact the duty watch commander at the Wilkes-Barre Police Department by calling 570-826-8106 or call 911.
