Suspected Boko Haram militants killed six people Sunday in Garkida town of Gombi Local Government Area in Adamawa state, residents and officials said. Two soldiers were among those killed, the defence headquarters said Monday. A resident of the area said that two of the four civilians were commercial motorcycle operators. “Apart from the six persons killed, they also burnt down the Police station, Military camp and they also partially destroyed the House of Emmanuel Bello” Mr. Isiyaku said. Mr. Bello is a former member of the House of Representatives representing Gombi\Hong federal constituency. Mr. Isiyaku also said the insurgents arrived the town around 6 p.m. and where in the town till 12 midnight. “We were very lucky because they did not enter into any house, but there is no part of this town that they did not come to,” he said. The Nigerian military tweeted Monday night that “two soldiers died in the operation” and that “more troops have been deployed to forestall any other attack on the area
