‘Suspicious bag’ creates panic in city outskirts =>An unattended bag on the Srinagar-Muzzafarabad highway herein city outskirts led to a bomb scare, resulting in a massive traffic jam on the on Monday Officials said a ‘suspicious’ bag was found at Tengpora bridge on Bypass road this morning by forces men posted in the area. “The local police officer was informed and Bomb Disposal Squad was also called,” forces men present on the scene had told GNS. A police spokesman said the ‘suspicious bag’ was checked by Bomb Disposal Squad and 14 ladies suits were found in it. He added that the traffic was restored later. Yesterday, similar incident took place in city’s Dalgate area where a lunch box was found lying on the road. On being checked, nothing was found in it. (GNS)
