Sustainable fitness. Sustainable eating habits. A lot of us lose sight of what sustainable means for us personally. We are easily convinced by outside sources that there is something wrong with our body and that it is an enemy that needs beaten (brutal, over-exercising) and starved (not eating enough calories for your activity level) like a concentration camp prisoner. I would like to point out that many of you may NOT need to lose weight Our bodies do not have a sense of aesthetics and there is something called the Metabolic Settle point. Which is a combination between genetics, physiological factors (which you cant control or change much) and lifestyle choices that will pretty much dictate the weight your body can maintain in a non/stressful way and your body will fight you to stay there. Remember that we are all different and beautiful. And assess if you truly need to lose weight for medical reasons or aesthetics. I may suggest that you not focus on weight loss but appreciation of yourself and ask you if you are literally in a fight with your body that is causing more harm than good. If you really are one of the cases in which you cant safely accept yourself at a healthy weight I recommend you seek professional help. It can take a lot of trial and error and in some cases the solution might be to just accept the weight you are at and love yourself at that weight. And body re-composition can be a beautiful thing. Muscles are beautiful. Be wise with your fitness goals! Chose sustainable fitness and eating habits. And even if you arent where you should be health wise and have a considerable amount of weight to lose it is okay to love yourself now. Youll have better results when you love and care for yourself rather than hate and abuse yourself. ❤️
