Sutivan - events for Tuesday 17.09.2013 Supetar – Sutivan: 7 km 6th BRAČ INTERNATIONAL SUMMER CARNIVAL 2013 is a unique carnival event in this area. Seven days of masked craziness, guests from a number of neighbouring countries, friendly hosts, fun carnival games and visits to numerous villages on the island of Brač in masked company are an unforgettable experience for all those coming to the island of Brač! Participants: Delegation of the Federation of European Carnival Cities from Croatian, Slovenia, Macedonia, Italy, Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina Carnival groups: Croatia, Italy, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Slovenia Organizer: FECC BOL (Cultural Centre Bol) & Carnival Association Monade, Supetar Sutivan is a small picturesque locality with a Mediterranean atmosphere and beautiful pebbly beaches that stretch towards the west and a tame hinterland crisscrossed with a multitude of paths. It is located on the north-western coast of the Island of Brač, 7 km away from the Supetar ferry port, and 13 km by sea from Split. Numerous cultural monuments, various events and sports activities make it a good choice for sports and cultural tourism, and an active holiday. The traditional cuisine of the town make abundant fresh fish and meat dishes, seafood and wines of all brands. Sutivan population traditionally delt with olives, citruses, cherries, almonds and grapes.
