Svme Gurley Joshua Schreiber here is the brand new 4Nine Brass Female Mod in 18500 mode. as you can see, the seem between the 18350 and 18500 tubes is completely invisible. ill bet you probably thought this was one single 18500 tube! but nope, theres an 18350 tube, a short 18650 tube, and a slightly shorter 18500 tube. to fit an 18650 battery, you put all 3 tubes together. even in 18650 mode, it still looks like one single tube! the mods firing switch is fit with a magnet. the mod comes with a coin-shaped magnet, which attaches to the battery (magnetically) and is repelled from the switch due to their opposite polarities. this basically works the same way a spring does, only the elastic force of the spring is replaced by the magnetic force of the magnets. this means the battery and the switch are held apart, despite the force of gravity pulling the battery down towards the switch. to overcome this force, you simply push the button! its really nice to not have to deal with replacing springs due to oxidation, and it allows for a much simpler, streamlined design, which incorporates only large pieces. a mod without tiny parts (like springs and screws) is much sturdier and probably much more durable. i really like it so far. the voltage drop is nearly nil, i measured resistance and voltage via the tube and bottom cap and calculated it total at about 4% when i first opened the box, but when i measured it this morning i got 2%. as you may have seen, the 4Nine does not have a top cap as we know it. it uses a type of adapter which allows the atomizers 510 to screw into the cap, but does not cover the actual pole of the 510 connection, meaning the battery connects directly to the atomizer, in turn eliminating one of the primary sources of voltage drop on mechanical mods! its pretty amazing. i am told that this new brass version has less voltage drop than the original stainless steel version, but i dont have the original so i couldnt tell you for sure. definitely recommend getting one yourself. PS: this mod is smaller in 18500 mode than most mods are in 18350 mode! its also smaller in 18350 mode than a kayfun lite. pretty wild
