Swacch Bharat is not just an aspiration in the physical realm - it has to be a determined effort in every area of activity in India. Our courts remain a bastion to uphold the rule of law : and that no one is above the law. Many Indians will applaud the conviction of Tamil Nadus chief minister and hope that it is another small step towards cleaning the Augean Stables of criminalism and corruption that is endemic our political system. . Our Supreme Court has set high standards, disqualifying any MP convicted of a serious crime from office and ordering fast-track trials. Sadly, our political parties still revere and respect many politicians who continue to hold office while facing charges that would see them suspended in most other democracies, until either their innocence or guilt is proven.
