Swampies, Today I received an advertisement for a free DVD (shipping cost, nothing is absolutely free, except the grace of God) from Mike Huckabee teaching our children our US History and how God made it all possible. I a Christian find grievous problems with this, first God did not bless the construction of the United States by this countries use of slaves, euthanizing the natives here first, stealing the land, raping their woman, and killing their children. How dare you Mr. Huckabee mention God’s name in how this country became great. All great countries have become great due to committing numerous sins against the very God we believe formed the foundations of the universe, gave His Son up for our sins. Mr. Huckabee I think you need to reread your Bible and what God views as sins, especially the ones He hates (not the sinner, but the sin) before spouting out His glory was shown by this country’s formation and now supposed greatness. Ever stop to think that some of our problems are due to this country’s past and present sins, I do all the time. Next a juror in the all too famous Zimmerman case says now she is grieved about the verdict that she and fellow female jurors had to come to. That they had no choice by the way the law reads in Florida, that she and she made it sound as if each juror believed Zimmerman was not innocent in his killing of Trayvon, but the law as it read gave them no choice. That now it is in the hands of God, whose laws are more refined and direct and that Zimmerman will answer to Him. Of course laws in this country can find a person not guilty because the state cannot beyond a reasonable doubt prove its case, that doesn’t make the person innocent, that there is a difference in being found not guilty and innocent, just as those wrongly found guilty were never not innocent, but rather were innocent of what they were convicted of. People are not perfect, our laws have flaws, many if you ask me, but we have better laws that do work than most countries have for that I trust in and will respect the decisions even if I disagree with them on cases. Next breaking news, a Southwest airplane just skidded when landing, wheels collapsed and the jet went nose first at LaGuardia Airport injuries reported. Prayers no one was seriously injured and that thankfully this wasn’t more serious and that everyone recover who has been injured. A majority of voters thinks President Obama should have ordered U.S. troops to go in and help the Americans at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya on the night it was attacked. No duh, but like we will ever really get to the bottom of this scandal. Easy to blame Hillary for everything now that she has resigned her post, easier to blame Bush for it, because after all; all our problems in this country can be traced to Bush, even the War Between the States, I tell you I never knew one mortal man had so much power. Had a friend today that posed a question about how the media is using the word phony in connection with all the Obama scandals, and a mutual friend brought in the Kennedy Assassination and blamed Bush for that. How did we go from what is happening today to something that happened fifty years ago this November? Liberals who won’t take responsibility for their actions, who blame conservatives for all the problems of the world, of course this can be reversed too. Lastly, we didn’t start the fire; it was blazon long before any of our great grandparents were born. Nothing we can do once something is done, but learn from it, hopefully not make the same mistakes again, and take those lessons that did work and repeat them. That the rain falls on the good and the bad, as well as the sun shines on both. Both the rain and the sunshine are blessings, we need them to survive. We will always have evil around us; it is what we choice to do when evil confronts us that are the important things. To remember though quoted many times different ways, if we all stand silent when we know something is wrong, evil will prevail. We can speak up, might not win, but in the end, when all is said and done, and the Great Judgment comes, standing up for what is right will have been noticed. Love is always the answer, love your enemies and pray for them, remember none of us is perfect and we all fall short.
