Sweet Little BIBIs fighting PNEUMONIA! Desperately needs help with medical bills! Meet Bibi an angelic little, long-legged, 9 lb, Italian Greyhound/Chi mix. Shes had pneumonia for over a week and is fighting for her life. I met her at Carson Shelter, CA while I was picking up another dog for a rescue. She was being carried into shelter by her owner, who said he couldnt keep her because, their new apartment wouldnt allow her. She was absolutely petrified to be at the shelter and while her owner was waiting in line to leave her, she was paralyzed with fear and of course panting furiously, but I had to pick up the other dog and deliver it to OC the following day, so couldnt take her directly from the owner. I wish I had! One of the hazards of Carson shelter is that the poor dogs being dumped by owners wait in the same place as everyone else and dogs dont stop coming through! I made the mistake of looking into her eyes and had to try and help her, so I came back within a couple of days to pull her in the hope of finding her a rescue. She then had to be spayed and ended up remaining at the shelter for 3 more days on the waiting list for surgery, further exposing her to goodness knows what! She is the most gentle, elegant little dog, who loves nothing better than having a cuddle and loves to snuggle her nose into your neck. She loves going for little walks and prances and wags her tail the whole time. Unfortunately, a couple of days after coming out of the shelter, she was diagnosed with a URI. A few days letter it had developed into pneumonia, which is proving very difficult to treat. Bibi has been in isolation at the vets office, receiving a full barrage of medications for 5 days & nights already, but her lack of appetite and her weakened state has meant she cant leave the vets and today, shes still not eating. Bibis vet bills are well over $1,000 and she desperately needs donations to help her continue her fight. She wants and deserves nothing more than to get well and find her new forever home as soon as possible.
