Sweet! Nice work everyone. And thanks to those who signed petitions. To maybe help clarify - that $70,000 is an absolute waste of money. In aster of weeks theyre going to attempt to find something about option 0/route 0 that makes it SIGNIFICANTLY better than route 4. Route 4 was chose only after MUCH more time and money was spent during the initial research phase. Its them trying to save face, but $70k is a large amount of money that could go to better things. But, if thats what it took to get to a 5-2 vote to bring BRT to Provo, than so be it. One of the best things Mayor Curtis said at a luncheon yesterday was anyone with an ounce of experience in transit recognizes the benefits of bringing a Bus Rapid Transit into a city. Its a no brainer. The fact that this wasnt passed last month is ridiculous, but at least two councilmen came to their senses.
