Switzerland supports the skill development for the *************************************************** handicraftsmen ************** Last week, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) signed an agreement with the British Council to support a project called “From Craft to Art”. This project is a pilot project, designed by New Zero Art Space in collaboration with the British Council and SDC with the aim of exploring and creating opportunities for combining artistic creation with traditional crafts in the ethnic regions targeting local cottage industries and crafts people. Crafts from regional areas play an important role in preserving Myanmar’s regional ethnic minorities’ culture, tradition and identity. The project will support the development of craft sector through exploring potential markets and skills development. SDC’s contribution amounts to USD 91’500 for the period of 15 January 2015 to 31 March 2016 © New Zero Art Space(https://facebook/fromcrafttoart)
