Symphony San Jose’s Target Summer Pops series presents a weekend of free concerts tonight through Sunday, Aug. 2-4, at San Jose State University. The fun takes place on the Tower Lawn, behind the MLK Library at Fourth and San Fernando streets. Bring the family, a picnic basket and a blanket! From ‘40s swing to Cab Calloway, boogie woogie to New Orleans blues, this Swing Revival band’s rhythm section is beat only by its horns—or vice versa. “Go Daddy-O”! Concert starts at 7 p.m. Saturday – Simply Sinatra Vegas headliner Steve Lippia leads a tribute to the timeless music of Frank Sinatra. Hear all your favorites from Lippia, whose concerts sell out from NYC’s Birdland and the Boston Pops to Europe and South America. Concert starts at 7 p.m. Sunday – A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… Enjoy the stirring music of “Star Wars” by legendary composer John Williams.
