I think that about sums up our feelings right about now. Erika had a ticket home today, bags packed, room cleaned, car rented and one foot out the door. And then her phone rang. Seems those pesky antibodies are hanging around longer than they should and instead of going home Erika gets another hospital stay. A three day course of IV therapy with the goal of kicking them back to the curb. A young and healthy immune system is usually a good thing but not when you need it to leave the new lungs alone. So, still smiling through the tears and keeping our heads in the game but I do have to say this bump in the recovery road hurts just a bit. :-/
