Synopsis: At 4:00 pm today, tropical depression “QUEENIE” was estimated based on all available data at 90 km southeast of Cuyo, Palawan (10.3˚N, 121.6˚E), with maximum winds of 55 kph near the center. It is forecast to move west northwest at 24 kph. Forecast: Palawan, Negros Occidental, Guimaras Island, Iloilo and Antique will have rains with gusty winds. Mindanao, the rest of Visayas, Bicol region and the provinces of Quezon, Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and from the northeast to east over Visayas and Mindanao with moderate to rough seas.
