Syrena, Jordan, and Morena Physiology 2nd period The Cell Membrane Were going to discuss the cell membrane So lets take a trip on organelle lane Its made of a bilayer of phospholipid molecules With nonpolar tails pointing like mules The proteins bind together to form a connection To support cell filaments to give them protection The first structure is the sheet of phospholipids It maintains boundaries of a cell in hundreds The second structure is the membrane proteins Which acts as channels of molecules in routines Their job is water-soluble transportation From one compartment to another like a train The third structure is receptor molecules It triggers metabolic changes in the membrane that is disapproved Sensitivity to hormones Just like anklebones The fourth structure is enzyme molecules that speed up chemical reactions It works as a regulation of metabolic reactions To slow down their actions The fifth is the membrane proteins that bind With molecules outside the cell to intertwine They form connections one cell and another Making them a bit more fatter The sixth structure is the membrane proteins Which bind to support structures So they can be strong and will not rupture They support and maintain the shape of the cell and the membranous organelle The final structure is glycoproteins Which act as markers for the recognition of cells and organelles We now completed our trip on organelle lane So tell us, what have you learned about the cell membrane?
