Syreon band sings for peace and amity in #Syria Sep 26, 2013 #Lattakia, (#SANA) - On the occasion of the international day of tourism, Syreon Band of the Arab Evangelical Church performed national carols and songs at Dar al-Assad Theater for culture in Lattakia. The band chanted national songs for the Syrian Arab Army, in addition to presenting a national unity monologue, which included Syriac carols with some Islamic anthems and songs from Aleppo culture, to express the national unity. Maestro of the Band Gorge Klor told SANA reporter that the band concentrated on the idea of collecting works for producing a new art that combines between the Christian and Islamic religions and affirms the principle of co-exists in Syria. He added that the Band members are mixture of the Syrian youth who support peace and stability in the country, pointing out that the name of the band "Syreon" means Syria in the Aramaic language. sana.sy/eng/28/2013/09/26/504561.htm
