They gave Vajra, concealed in banana fruit to Earth. It boomeranged Earth gave birth to Kimpurusha who wreaked havoc like Volcanoes, Tsunami, Hurricane etc all around. It was an environmental apocalypse Devas got scared. They repented, They propitiated Kimpurusha, learning lessons from his warnings. He was given a place at the top of the temples as a symbol of need for harmony in nature. This story has some variations from place to place. But, Kumpurusha still stands at the top of all Hindus temple as a powerful symbol of Ecospirutualism. In spite of the tremendous achievements in science and technology, we are still cavemen psychologically. Even worse than that . Caveman protected nature. And nature protected them. It was a pious circle. We are poisoning Nature and nature gives it back. Common sense has become very uncommon. Jiddu Krishnamurthi had said “Humanity has taken a very wrong turn”.
