TAC MORNING DEVOTIONAL By Pastor (Dr.) G. O. Olutola JP Wednesday, June 4. THEME: LET US PRAY. O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes: Order my step in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. Psalm 119:5, 133. One of the major assignment that God has given us is prayers. We pray with hope and faith and we believe that God will attend to our prayers because the performance belongs to Him. Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. (Jeremiah 33:3). Therefore we should dwell on the issue of prayer on daily basis as it is asked to be done without ceasing. Why do we need to pray? Let me point it here again that we are to pray because God wants us to pray. Its a command. We pray as a declaration of our trust in God. We are to pray because its an avenue for God to fellowship with us. We are to pray because through it, our sin are forgiven. We pray because through it, our spirit is revived and the way is paved for the power of God to work. Have you prayed today? ACTION POINTS 1. Study the state of your heart during prayer. 2. Let work also accompany your prayer. 3. Believe that God hears and answer prayer. 4. Do not be selfish in your prayer. SCRIPTURES 1Thessalonians 5:17; Matthew 7:7; Mark 11:23-24. PRAYER POINTS 1. Father teach me how to pray; 2. Lord, let my spirit thirst for constant prayer in the name of Jesus; 3. I destroy every spirit of prayerlessness in my life in the name of Jesus; 4. Father, give me the wisdom to know how to pray aright in the name of Jesus; 5. Father, let the word of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable unto you in the name of Jesus. AMEN. HAVE A FAVOUR DAY.
