TARABA 2015: ELECTIOB OR SELECTION Democracy defined by Wikipedia as a form of government in which all eligible citizens are meant to participate equally - either directly or, through elected representatives, indirectly in the proposal, development and establishment of the LAW by which their society is RUN. The LAW (Nigerian constitution) in which Nigeria is RAN by has clearly stated that a citizen has right to vote and be voted for irrespective of the section, tribe or religious affiliations the person came from. I was felt astonished by post of some power shifters in Facebook, dividing my good people of Taraba, agitating on what was not in neither the constitution of our great party (PDP) as they claimed, nor the Nigeria Constitution which supreme any law in the country. Let me take you back to 1999, when Late Usman Bibinu (southerner) was the PDP candidate before an unfortunate accident brough his death, and was replaced by Joly Tavoron Nyame (northerner), where were you the power shifters; likewise in 2007 when Danladi Baido Tijos, (northerner) was denied a ticket and replaced by Danbaba Danfulani Suntai (central), where were you the power shifters. Before he denied the ticket Danladi Baido Tijos, (northerner) was to succeed Gov. Joly Nyame, (northerner) and no any sourtherner raised any alarm then, were they not there or the shifting agreement was not made. If the shifting agreement was not made, then when was the agreement came to the book. You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time. Abraham Lincoln Politics is not a game of sectional or ethno-religious, but a game of citizenship and possessing the qualities, and that qualities are to be figure out by the electorates number not by elites. My question here is; what were the (political oppressors) agitating for shifting power to Taraba sourth has done physically or spiritually to promote our blessed sourthern part of the State. Agreed, we have prominent influential people in our sourthern axis, but what have they done individually or collectively for the development of sourthern Taraba. None of them has ever, even invest in Taraba so as to engage our teaming youths, all their investment are either in abroad or some part of the country (not northern Nigeria). None of them have ever set a programme that will reduced youth restiveness, all the do to the Taraba sourth were to used the qouta in their selfish interest to develop themselves. What we need in Taraba State is not division, hatred, violence or lawlessness; What we need in Taraba State is wisdom, and compassion toward one another. Our prayers are for a leader with gentle soul, noble character, a highly esteemed man of integrity who will promote peace and unity by carrying everyone alone. Im calling on all well wishes of Taraba, from every nook and cranny to come together under one umbrella of peace and unity in promoting the state by voting for a liberal generous man, an exemplary leader who has commitment was on service to God, country, state, communuty and fellowman. A man who brought hope to hopeless, a man who is not bias, tribal, sectional and relgious sentiment in the course of his litigation. Alh.
