#TAS #Flood #Corp Update: RENEWED WARNING MINOR FLOOD WARNING FOR THE HUON RIVER Issued at 8:25 pm EST on Wednesday 2 October 2013 by the Bureau of Meteorology, Hobart Flood Warning Number: 4 Minor flooding continues throughout the Huon River Basin with minor flooding now extending to Huonville township. Upper Huon River River levels have now peaked in the upper reaches of the Huon River and remain high. River levels peaked at Harrison Opening at about 7.2 metres Wednesday afternoon. Picton River River levels have now peaked in the Picton River and remain high. Tahune to Judbury Minor flooding continues about Tahune with levels currently steady about the expected peak of 5.4 metres. Minor flooding continues about Judbury with levels to peak near 5.5m Wednesday evening. Huonville township River levels about Huonville have exceeded the minor flood level (3.0 metres) and are expected to peak near 3.5 metres late Wednesday evening. Localised flooding in adjacent creeks and surrounding low lying continues. Predicted River Heights/Flows: Based on observed and forecast rainfall the following river heights are predicted: Huon River at Judbury 5.4 - 5.7 metres (MINOR), Wednesday evening, 02/10/2013 Huon River at Huonville 3.4 - 3.6 metres (MINOR), late Wednesday evening, 02/10/2013 FloodSafe advice is available at ses.tas.gov.au.
