TASUED ACADEMICS SHINE IN KENYA Top list of participants, organisers commend VC In her quest to develop qualitative academic performance among the University teaching staff and to work towards the mission and vision of the Institution, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Oluyemisi Obilade recently approved the sponsorship of 24 teaching Staff to an International Conference in Kenya. The conference which was organised by the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, Nairobi, Kenya was attended by about 700 participants drawn from 26 countries of the world. According to the organisers of the conference, Tai Solarin University of Education made remarkable contribution as many of them chaired sessions and made tangible contributions while the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Oluyemisi Obilade was commended because the University sent the highest number of participants among Nigerian Universities, describing her as a “leader with human face”. The leader of the University representatives to the Conference, Dr. C. B. Egwugu was thus, honoured with a seat at the top table and was given a major role to play coupled with the presentation of a book, on behalf of other participants from Nigeria, to the Conference.
