TBM TRUMPET CALL 2014-08-15 “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.” ~ 1 CORINTHIANS 1:10 A KINGDOM OR MISSION THAT WILL ADVANCE MUST UNITE Usually when a matter or a message appears extensively highlighted, to many who have not grasped this basic truth which Scripture describes as the simplicity of the gospel {2 Corinthians 1:12, 11: 3}, repetition is grievous. Paul wrote again to the Philippians; “FINALLY, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.” {Philippians 3:1} Putting on the full armour of God is a daily affair, none of the items listed are accessories. Why people need the same words of encouragement theyve been receiving for years without any actual biblical evidence or proof of progress, capable of convincing the world just as God promised, appears never to receive the appropriate critical review. Our hope must be a complete dependence on God the Holy Spirit to impact this world. How this will happen is what we will all do well to seek. When the glory is seen, the promise is seen {please see Isaiah 60:3, 62:2}. The command is to do Isaiah 62:1 and 6-7 to see the glory; and to seek is to inquire. Apostle Paul saw it all coming and happening; the Greeks cherished their wisdom, their philosophers and philosophy, the Jews were accustomed to signs and wonders, but God chose what appears foolish because the simple things that produces results are simply not exotic enough. The same issues that confronted the early church which they never apprehended are still present with us today. What happened then, remains with us till today. We practically returned to philosophy without realising it. Perhaps some are secretly wishing we could add Socrates, Plato, Aristotle or Marcus Aurelius to our curricular. This will happen when we get off track; the Holy Spirit will not support it. To come back to God and remain on track will take steadfastness, consistency, persistence, courage and old time doggedness. The main difference between courage and encouragement is that courage is inspired by the knowledge of God, encouragement denotes an external impetus; the two are good and godly, but we can judge ourselves which is better. So many of us love the wonderful teachings and postulations that represent advancement for all in God’s family; but the main thrust will be to get the foundation right. What is actually happening is that we hardly see why there appears to be no movement. We are trying to build the second, third, fourth to the hundredth floor but have left off the foundation and the ground floor. For everything else to work, we have to visit the foundation, there we will find what will make everything else work and function. The whole building will rest and function on the foundation. Do people know that without seeking first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, the journey becomes everlasting? Do people know what seeking first the kingdom of God really means? Do people know that what they are looking for in life and in the one to come, is founded upon and dependent on this simple commandment of seeking first the enthronement of God, then everything else will be added? Do people truly see having the same mind and judgment (interpretation) as the first step to unity and the fulfilment to all of God’s promises? Is the power source Christ ratified New Covenant? It is very clear from Scripture; everything we received from God has a beginning. His commandments have a beginning. If we omit or reject the first, everything else is off course including the end results. We also can obey or follow when we know what to follow. If and when we decide to seek God, we will ask the right questions and God will not fail to give us the right answers. Nevertheless, all the answers we need to advance and unite are already written. It is possible to have the same mind, the same judgment and to present a common front. This is how warfare is won, how kingdoms are established and how progress will be made. When it is faith, it will be accompanied by the truth; if it is not simple, it will mislead. We have the greatest opportunity in our time not to repeat the mistakes of those who overlooked the simplicity of the gospel of Christ and His kingdom. To put it mildly; the feel-good gospel has no power or backing from God, it is opiate with attendant side effects; it will keep one on the same spot forever needing encouragement but no solutions. Only the truth makes free {John 8:32}. This call is to unite and have a common front. We keep the past behind us by not repeating past mistakes. When we have done what God calls us to do, we are then really in the heart of praise and worship, Amen God bless and have a good weekend
