TEACHER STABBED TO DEATH IN FRONT OF HER PUPILS: A popular teacher has died after being repeatedly stabbed in her classroom in front of her pupils. A 15-year-old boy is in custody following the death of Spanish teacher Anne Maguire (61) who was fatally injured at Corpus Christi Catholic College in Leeds yesterday morning. Her death is thought to be the first time a teacher has been stabbed to death in a British classroom – and the first killing of a teacher in a school since the 1996 Dunblane massacre. She is the first teacher to be killed by a schoolboy since Philip Lawrence, a London headmaster, was stabbed at the gates of his secondary school in 1995. Your comments may be read out on air.
