TEACHING SALSA IS VERY HARD WORK AND DISCIPLINE... How many - TopicsExpress

TEACHING SALSA IS VERY HARD WORK AND DISCIPLINE... How many people in this world could imagine that some aspects of doing Salsa require as much as, if not more hard work, dedication and discipline than Martial Arts? It appeared to me very clearly yesterday while preparing and delivering at Salsa Concept Sunday... - 4 hours of listening to salsa music to prepare and update my DJ set - 2 hours of practice to prepare shines and turns patterns for teaching intermediate and advanced level - 1 hour teaching - 3 hours of DJing and dancing at the same time and keeping both action as ONE. I want to thank my Salsa Concept friends (especially Saori and Thank) for their support and caring (mango, cake, dancing and affection)...In spite of the appearance, they knew I was struggling:-) In the end, I was so exhausted that I could hardly drive back home... Those who dont know will only see a bunch of people dancing and having fun...The very hard work and disciple behind is not seen... When we see people doing things to entertain us, or things that look like fun and easy, lets step back to and look again (not just salsa By the way). Many things seem to be happening, while what is really happening is different... Salsa can be a world of illusion...A strange music heritage built on human suffering and pain and to which the whole world is dancing, enjoying and having fun... Salsa is also truly amazing. A tough discipline where many people find their roots and at the same time connect to the world. Its very deep. This is a meaningful and very nice Salsa song paying respect to dance instructors around the world, who work hard and with discipline and talent to keep their art alive (The Latin Heartbeat Orchestra - Los Instructores de Baile) ...https://youtube/watch?v=tJMBU6If-qs
