TECH IT OUT Robotics Camp Registration is officially open! This is our 5th summer offering of camp to the learners of H-Town and Harris County ! Last summer we had over 500 kids impacts by our camps whether through schools, community groups or parents signing them up. Boys are naturally drawn to robotics so it is not a surprise that 90% of our participants have primarily been boys of all ages. The SHEBot Girls Initiative was created by me two years ago to address this fact. I am a girl and I love robotics. Three girls ( H-Town original RoboChicks Dee Wallace and Stephanie Witherspoon along with myself) have played a major part in the growth of the robotics community in Houston. What can I do about? I began by offering our SHEbot camp at the Girls schools, Girls Day, and girls conferences with excellent response.
