JOB DESCRIPTION As a Senior Technical Support Engineer, you report to the Technical Support Manager, and will be responsible for support of all EastNets solutions to EastNets customers worldwide. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES You coordinate the analysis and reproduction of customer issues by the Technical Support team, involving other groups as required. You define answers and solutions to the customer. You maintain expert knowledge of EastNets solutions (software and documentation). You maintain contact with key customers to assess their maintenance and support requirements, and build a good customer–supplier relationship. You maintain an overview of all delivered products and services per customer. You perform testing and validation for release updates and patches. You define and co-ordinate communication to customers on release updates and patches. You maintain the operational support environment (documentation, case tracking tool, test environments…) REQUIREMENTS Experience IT background 5 years experience in Support or Development or QA environments. 2+ years of experience with software support teams or service desks is a plus. Exposure to financial applications, including SWIFT is a benefit. Technical Good knowledge of UNIX and Windows server environments, including scripting. Good knowledge of databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server). Good knowledge of middleware. Familiarity with quality assurance concepts. Personal Good analytical skills, an eye for quality and a strong customer focus. Able to quickly grasp technical concepts. Self motivated, with an eagerness to learn new skills and applications. Self-confident and outgoing. Good communicator and team player, with the ability to mentor and lead junior members of the team. Willingness to travel occasionally.
