JAANE WOH KAISE LOUG THAY JINKAY PYAR KO PYAR MILA...** A couple of days back those lines popped up in my head and I found myself singing the chorus (thats all I could think off). Now I dont exactly remember when, but this song was being played a lot in Karachi (early-mid 60s)...it was coming out of transistors and radios all over Bhorri Bazaar, Saddar and those Mullbarri Cafes of Soldier Bazaar that I used to frequent with friends for some chai and paan, trying to solve the problems of the world. I couldve even heard this out of Bismillah Hotel a few blocks from my house or the great Nazir Bhais Kabob cart around the corner. So I thought Id check with Mr. Youtube...lo and behold, ladies & gentlemen here is the great black and white clip from the classic Bollywood film, Pyaasa. Im very happy to solve the mystery of who, what, where etc. of this song after all these years...choup khouen hogai ho...khouho, khouho...
