TEMPLES IN SRINGERI SHARADA PEETHAM (Courtesy : Sringeri Mutt Website) 7) SRI BALASUBRAHMANYA TEMPLE Sri Adi Shankara has identified and established six pattern of worshiping deities, of which Kumaram is related to the worshiping of Lord Subramanya . A temple for Balasubrahmanya Swami was consecrated in 1978 by Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamigal. This temple is located on the southern side of Sri Sharadamba temple very close to the Tunga river. On the day of Subrahmanya Shasti, special Puja is performed to Lord Subrahmanya Champa Shasti is the grandest festival in this temple. Shatarudrabhishekam is peformed to Sri Bala Subrahmanya in the morning and deepotsava in the evening.
