TEMPTATION Part 3 We need to always remember through Christ out Savior, Redeemer and Messiah all things are possible. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (Philippians 4:13 KJV). We have not because we dont ask. Matthew 7:7 is a promise. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? (Matthew 7:7-11 KJV). This doesnt mean any and everything we ask we will get it. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to HIS WILL, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. (1 John 5:14, 15 KJV). God gives us a way of escape, if we ask for power, strength and deliverance, God will give it to us, He will also take the desire for sin from us if we ask Him. We need to remember that surrender is necessary to resist temptation and not fall into sin. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. (James 4:7-10 KJV hsltc
