“TESTING ANY NARRATIVE OF AHA-DITH” The Promised Messiah has - TopicsExpress

“TESTING ANY NARRATIVE OF AHA-DITH” The Promised Messiah has given the world a “Golden Principle” the Litmus Test and the hardest benchmark to examine “ah-Dith”. I feel even our Ahmadis do not understand it in its real depth. What is that Litmus Test? It is ‘testing any narrative with the clear , unequivocal text of the Holy Quran’. Now this is not always easy. I may cite an example, ask a mullah, about the ah-dith regarding “Spells / magic “done” upon the Holy Prophet… The Bukhari’s narrative is very clear. Now a scholar will say, the Chapter Al-Falaq has clearly mentioned “wa min sharrin nafathaate fil Uqad”. I have seen even the most rational Muta Zillah muffasireen will quote this chapter and relate it to the Bukhari’s story of “spells/magic” done on the Prophet. So the question is again “back to squire ONE”. Then how to comprehend things? First we must “understand” the Prophet’s personality in the light of the Quran. The fact is that a Revelation CAN NOT be alien to the Recipient of that Revelation. It is just like the taste and fragrance and food value of a fruit, which is always part and parcel of the fruit’s “personality”. Quran is the PERSONALITY of the Prophet Muhammad . (saw). It is simply NOT possible that he may have acted “against” or at “variance” with the Quran’s clear text. The rationalism, the deeply rooted message of wisdom, universalism, natural-observation, scientific methods… we find in the Quran… all in reality describe the Personality of its recipient, Muhammad the Holy Prophet (saw). Superstitions, magic, fiction, occultism, falsehood , injustice, discrimination, terrorism , simply would NOT fit in this PERSONALITY. Once we understand this basic principle, then no narrative will misguide or mislead us. The problem is people say,” Quran ke saath compare karo” but they do not comprehend the depth of this principle given to Muslims by Hazrat Masih Mauood (as) for the VERY FIRST TIME in Muslim History. Batalvi always asked him “What is the Sanad of this Principle?” Isn’t it thought-provoking?
